What I do

A landscape that's alive, and easy to live with.

I work with homeowners who know they want something better but aren't sure where to start. We walk the site together, looking at light, soil, drainage, and the plants already there, talk through your goals and how much maintenance you're comfortable with, and you leave with practical, phased recommendations you can actually follow.

  • Native plants chosen for your specific site and goals
  • Clear, phased plans instead of overwhelming plant lists
  • Gardens for pollinators and wildlife, by design
  • A balance of "wild" ecology and tidy, intentional design

A year of bloom

Something flowering, all season long.

A good pollinator garden never goes hungry. I plant in overlapping waves so something's in flower from the first spring ephemeral to the last aster before frost. Hover a ribbon to see what carries each stretch of the year.

Who I am

Hi, I'm Todd Testerman.

I think about gardens as living systems: soil, plants, water, microbes, insects, and people, all working together. I bring a soil-first, science-based approach to every project.

I hold a PhD in microbiology from the University of Connecticut, with accreditation as an Organic Land Care Professional through NOFA and a Certificate in Native Plant Studies from the Native Plant Trust.
